there are many things that i liked about you.

you reminded me of the stars.

i enjoyed watching you and letting my thoughts stream down

the never ending river of solace.

you were bright and full of hope.

you were small but yet so brave.

and in the celestial sea of darkness, you shined the brightest.

and i fell in love. i embraced you for warmth.

but now as i looked back, my perception wasn’t wrong.

you were a star and perhaps the brightest of them all.

but like all stars, you were dead inside.

and yet i still found ways to love you.

i loved you nonetheless.
